North Queensland tourism operators have their last chance to secure tickets to this Friday’s Tourism Futures Forum and take in a keynote presentation by one of the world’s leading futurists and trend spotters, Chris Riddell.
The Forum is a unique opportunity for local business owners and operators in the region to gain industry-leading insights into the trends and changes that will shape our recovery and growth over the new few years.
Forum attendees will also be updated on regional projects including the strategic review of the Townsville North Queensland tourism brand, learn from Magnetic Island based social media content experts NOMADasaurus, and take in expertise and insights around team culture from customer experience guru Danielle Peters.
Townsville Enterprise Director Visitor Economy and Marketing Lisa Woolfe said that the industry had a chance to not just survive, but to thrive as the tourism economy started rebuilding after two years of tough times due to the COVID pandemic.
“There is no doubt that it has been challenging for the tourism sector over the last couple of years, but with borders now open, new tourism product on the horizon, improved aviation access and the opportunity to redefine our destination – we can leverage the opportunities from travel’s global reset,” Ms Woolfe said.
“The Tourism Futures Forum is designed to help ensure the tourism sector in Townsville North Queensland is in the best position to leverage and exploit the opportunities ahead of us, and turbo-charge our recovery up to and beyond pre-pandemic levels”.
