The Nah Mate, This is Townsville North Queensland tourism campaign has hit another milestone this month with the launch of holiday packages targeted to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The tourism campaign which launched in October has so far outperformed all campaign targets and benchmarks, and the sales element of this campaign is the next iteration aimed at converting audiences into real booking dollars for the region’s operators.
Townsville Enterprise Director of Visitor Economy and Marketing, Lisa Woolfe said the campaign marketing partnership with Jetstar Australia is complete and will now move to a conversion campaign with holiday packages on offer at townsvillenorthqueensland.com.au at its core.
“Results will be available at the end of the year including passenger numbers from the Jetstar campaign, but initial insights are promising with Melbourne as the leading engaged audience followed by Sydney and Brisbane,” Mrs Woolfe said.
“The campaign has generated more than 30,000 clicks through to the Jetstar Australia and Townsville North Queensland website and received more than 8.7M impressions which is a promising result.”
“The next stage is a conversion campaign where we retarget the audience that has already engaged and shown interest in Townsville North Queensland and encourage them to book a holiday package to Townsville North Queensland.”
“This campaign has increased visitation to the Townsville North Queensland website by 33% in comparison to the same time last year, with significant increases noted from our key markets of Sydney and Melbourne. Positive sentiment of Townsville North Queensland is also up nine points higher than the Queensland average (over the campaign period). Awareness is growing of our destination and this campaign is paving the way for our new tourism brand launch in the new year.”
The holiday packages are targeted at couples, seniors and families and will promote our diverse experiences from the city to islands, reef to the rainforest.
