The Townsville Enterprise Board is pleased to announce the endorsement of Mr Jamie Fitzpatrick as the new Board Director of Townsville Enterprise.
Mr Fitzpatrick is a highly accomplished local business owner with over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and is a highly regarded community leader, particularly across his contributions to growing Townsville’s events sector.
As Managing Director of FGH Group, Jamie oversees the operations of a number of hospitality venues and accommodation facilities across Townsville and Cairns, and as Townsville Triathlon Festival President for the past seven years he was instrumental in the successful bid for the 2021 ITU Multi Sport World Championships, estimated to attract over 8,000 visitors to Townsville.
Mr Fitzpatrick said that it was a pleasure to accept the appointment as a Director on the Townsville Enterprise Board.
”I am looking forward to working with the other members of the Board and the wider Townsville Enterprise organisation and contribute to strategies that will support increased economic and social benefit for the region,” said Mr Fitzpatrick.
“I have always maintained a great passion and commitment to Townsville and its economic position and believe we are in a time where we have the right projects, opportunities, organisations and importantly the people that are genuine in delivering change.
“I see Townsville Enterprise as an organisation committed to securing real results and outcomes for Townsville and North Queensland and I’m looking forward to contributing to the organisation’s objectives by leveraging my business development, project management and events experience.”
Townsville Enterprise Chairman, Kevin Gill said Mr Fitzpatrick’s appointment was based on his strong leadership shown across the events and hospitality sectors over the past two decades, complementing the priorities of the organisation.
“Jamie’s experience and knowledge is aligned to the direction of Townsville Enterprise”, said Mr Gill.
“He has long been a key contributor and supporter of Townsville Enterprise’s advocacy initiatives and is a welcomed addition to the Board.”
