TEL is launching our very first Economic Snapshot Dashboard to all our members, providing engaging and interactive data on the economic data for our region.
TEL’s previous Quarterly Economic Snapshot’s have served as the model for our Economic Dashboards, reporting on key economic data for the regions of Townsville, Charters Tower’s, Hinchinbrook, Burdekin and Palm Island. The Economic Dashboards provides a high-level analysis of the North Queensland economy as well as detailed insights into trade, tourism, commodities, property, agriculture, labour and business confidence for the region.
Utilising the business analytics software, Power BI, data from ABS, Queensland Government Statisticians Office (QSGO) has been transformed into rich visuals, allowing users to extract business intelligence for enhanced decision-making. Included in the dashboards is commentary covering the impact global events (such as the Russian-Ukraine Conflict, COVID-19, supply chain disruptions) have affected local markets in the region, resulting in record-breaking prices and sustained demand.
