Townsville Enterprise, in partnership with Queensland Airports Limited and Jetstar Airways, is set to deliver a four-week campaign titled - “Sun & sea, You & me”, promoting Townsville to inbound aviation markets across Australia.
Launching the campaign with yesterday’s unbeatable Friday Frenzy sale fares, the interstate airline campaign is aimed at building awareness and driving flight bookings into Townsville, ahead of a key travel period for the region.
Complimenting existing marketing activity already targeting South-East Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, the aviation activity aims to build on the awareness in market and convert travel-ready visitors with tactical fare offers.
Townsville Enterprise Director Visitor Economy and Marketing, Lisa Woolfe said aviation access has always been a key focus for the RTO body, identified as an enabler for growth of the regional visitor economy, with the last six months delivering major wins on this focused strategy.
“By remaining active in the aviation space throughout the pandemic period, we have managed to secure an additional 400,000 aviation seats into Townsville, with direct flights to most capital cities, and regional centres,” Ms Woolfe said.
“Our partnership campaign with Jetstar is a critical element of this strategy, as we harness the strength of the Jetstar brand across our inbound markets to reinvigorate interstate visitation, particularly as the region readies itself for its first peak Winter season since the COVID pandemic first hit.”
