Get the party started and let’s turn Townsville P!nk

12th February 2024

Townsville North Queensland is set to cement the title of events capital for the North with the launch of Townsville’s most extensive calendar of events in 2024.

In an exciting development, Townsville Enterprise is proud to unveil the new Eventify Townsville North Queensland Portal, a pioneering platform designed to revolutionise how local businesses interact with event attendees.

The Eventify Townsville North Queensland Portal presents an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their activations, pop-up events, offers and deals in and around major events in Townsville North Queensland.

Designed to capitalise on the increased traffic in our region, pre, during and post a major event to better activate the commercial benefits, provide an exceptional visitor experience and drive strong economic returns for Townsville North Queensland businesses.

Lisa Woolfe, Director of Visitor Economy and Marketing of Townsville Enterprise, says this innovative approach to activating major events across the city will help to create a festival atmosphere that drives commercial outcomes.

“With global superstar P!nk coming to Townsville and attracting almost 20,000 out of region visitors, there is no better time to bring the city to life. We want to turn Townsville pink over the weekend and provide multiple reasons for people to stay a little longer and spend a little more.”

“This is our opportunity to set the standard for events and we want to roll it out each time a major event comes to town.”

“We are calling on all businesses to put their creativity to the test – pink cocktails, pink burgers, free bus transfers, new pink-inspired tours, dance parties and the list goes on. Eventify will then collate all these opportunities and share them with the community, our visitors and importantly the ticket holders,” Mrs. Woolfe said.

Tom Kimball, Queensland Country Bank Stadium General Manager, says “Pink has kicked off her Australian tour, with the show getting rave reviews so we can’t wait until Summer Carnival heads our way next month,”

“An artist of this caliber is a big deal for Townsville and a huge opportunity to show other artists and promoters what can be achieved at Queensland Country Bank Stadium,” Mr. Kimball said.

Background

Why Get Involved?

Standout from the crowd: Give travelers (and locals) another reason to visit your business – by offering something different or new, you set yourself apart from the crowd and capitalise on the influx of eventgoers.

Expand your reach: Through our partnerships, we can gain direct access to ticket holder databases for most major events, so when you provide us with your deals/offers we can share and distribute to an interested audience actively seeking this information.

Media Exposure: Benefit from Townsville Enterprise’s big partnerships with the media – both in the region and across the state and country. We can leverage this reach to extend our message on “What to do” in Townsville North Queensland – using these activations as the hero story for major events.

Better Events, Bigger Returns: Help activate commercial benefits from major events to deliver bigger and more coordinated economic returns to Townsville North Queensland businesses.
