Today is Day 1 of a 3-day lockdown and our focus is firmly on business assistance and industry recovery measures to get businesses through this lockdown and support their long term recovery. To assist our advocacy efforts, particular across the tourism, events, and hospitality industry, we are seeking information about the real and anticipated impact to local business.

The data collected through this survey will be integral to providing updates to relevant Government departments and will greatly assist Townsville Enterprise in providing adequate support during this crisis and assist us in delivering an effective recovery campaign. COVID-19 UPDATE | WEDNESDAY 30 JUNE (10:30AM)
- Three new cases of close contacts recorded in Queensland. All were in isolation - one of the new cases is the sibling who travelled with the positive case that visited Townsville and Magnetic Island.
- Important to note that the positive cases did not travel on the SeaLink ferry between Townsville and Magnetic Island but travelled on the vehicle barge and remained in their car for the duration of both journeys.
