Australia wakes up to Townsville North Queensland on TODAY Show

Nine’s TODAY Show Weather Host, Tim Davies has spent the week in Townsville North Queensland experiencing everything unexpected.

As part of the launch of Townsville North Queensland’s new tourism brand, Up for Unexpected, Townsville Enterprise hosted the TODAY Show to help sell Australia’s best kept holiday secret.

Townsville Enterprise Director of Visitor Economy and Marketing, Lisa Woolfe said Tim visited Charters Towers, the Burdekin, Hinchinbrook, Magnetic Island and Townsville this week.

“We have received overwhelming support for the launch of our new tourism brand for the region and this activity with the TODAY Show has amplified our message,” Mrs Woolfe said.

“From the western charm of Texas Longhorn Tours in Charters Towers to the quirk of the Italian Festival in Ingham and everything in between, our region has shined with unexpected moments this week.”

“The TODAY Show coverage ended with a wrap up of the week and a pop-up concert from Trent Bell, the brand song creator and national superstar on The Strand.”
