Meet the Presenter: Russell Boswell, Regional Tourism Strategist, Experience Developer and Marketer and Indigenous Tourism Specialist

Russell has a wide range of relevant experience and a highly successful track record in delivering business planning, mentoring, training, experience development, marketing and related projects across Queensland and further afield. He has owned and built several successful tourism businesses around their experiential components and is highly regarded within the tourism industry. Russell has worked in many theoretical and practical aspects of Ecotourism and provided training and mentoring services to a wide range of tourism operations from roadhouses and restaurants to hotels, wildlife parks to attractions, Aboriginal Ranger Groups and National Parks to Regional Museums.

Mentoring Program

The Townsville North Queensland Experience Development Mentoring Program will provide 10 operators with the tailored support and advice to help them achieve their business goals from industry expert Russell Boswell. The program is designed to help take tourism businesses to the next stage of growth and will include:

  • Initial phone/skype session
  • Desktop audit of marketing collateral and review of Best of Queensland results
  • Famil to undertake onsite assessment of customer journey, customer service, visitor engagement, story telling and facilities
  • 3 one on one mentoring sessions to establish a 6-12 action plan and monitor progress of this plan

Operators who are selected will be required to provide a FREE famil for both Russell and a Townsville Enterprise Tourism team member.

Cost: $300 per business (including GST)
