Intra-regional school holiday campaign
With travel open to Queenslanders, and the tourism industry working to rebuild their businesses after lengthy closures earlier this year, the September school holiday period is a key opportunity for the tourism and hospitality industry to aid recovery and revive the tourism sector.
The school holiday period is traditionally a key season for Townsville and North Queensland’s visitor numbers and a time of year the industry heavily relies upon, which is now more important than ever. With the industry supported primarily by the domestic drive market, Townsville Enterprise has launched the Explore Next Door campaign which aims to drive visitation to the regions of Charters Towers, Burdekin and Hinchinbrook.
- Encourage locals and neighbours (Cairns and Mackay) to explore what is next door, and make the most of the region's diverse landscapes
- Dedicated suite of creative assets delivered via targeted social media advertising, radio and billboard assets
- Inclusion in a State-wide lift-out school holiday guide in the Courier Mail
The 'Explore Next Door' campaign will run for two weeks across paid and owned channels.
