Townsville Enterprise, in collaboration with AEC Group, has released its seventh Townsville North Queensland Quarterly Economic Snapshot.
The document, proudly sponsored by James Cook University, is released every quarter to provide a regional economic outlook and commentary with key quarterly statistics including unemployment, business confidence, property sales, tourism and building approvals.
The latest edition indicates that the Townsville North Queensland economy continued its steady path to recovery over the past three months, and while business confidence is fragile, it remains in positive territory for the second consecutive quarter. Although the residential property sector remains at the bottom of the cycle, there are increasing indications of a tightening rental market and renewed buyer interest.
The Quarterly Economic Snapshot is produced with the intent to provide the Townsville North Queensland community with a one stop source of critical regional economic information and statistical data. This regular update offers useful analytical commentary, dissecting the numbers in order to provide regional stakeholders with insights into local trends and global issues that may impact regional economic performance.
