Townsville Enterprise participate in and instigate a number of destination marketing campaigns and projects. Currently the tourism team are working on:
International Marketing:
Townsville Enterprise has engaged the services of Success Matrix to perform a cost effective and streamlined approach to Townsville’s international marketing. Success Matrix have taken on all in-market sales missions to the UK, Europe, North America, and New Zealand along with targeted sales missions to ITOs based in Sydney and Melbourne. In conjunction with Townsville Enterprise 9 local operators have joined the International Marketing Group (IMG) to enlist Success Matrix with promoting Townsville and North Queensland.
Operators include: Adrenalin Snorkel & Dive, Billabong Sanctuary, Bungalow Bay Koala Village, Dreamtime Journey by Kookaburra Tours, Hidden Valley Cabins> & ToursMantra One Bright Point, Reef HQ Aquarium, Sunferries and Tropic Sail.
Townsville & North Queensland Regional Guide:
Work has begun on the 2011 official regional guide with advertising sales commencing mid August. The regional guide is the primary collateral piece used by Townsville Enterprise to market the destination. 80,000 copies of the guide will be produced and distributed throughout the year.
Regional guides are distributed through Visitor Information Centres, at consumer shows, in brochure requests and information packs, to cruise ships, at business and entertainment events, in delegate packs and through local businesses.
The guide is also distributed to ITOs and wholesalers at international trade shows such as ATE and ATEC Symposium and on trade famils and media visits.”
