Rebranding the Region

It is time for the Townsville Region to be supported by a brand that is uniquely its own.  A brand that sets us apart from regions across the state that is reflective of all the great components that make up the Townsville Region.

The Townsville Region is synonymous with a diverse economy, varied landscape and great lifestyle prospects.  Where else can you find so many opportunities in one Region? Magical reef, sound investment opportunities, dramatic outback landscape, lush, green cane fields and ancient tropical forests.

Townsville Enterprise engaged with visitors and locals, regional communities including the Burdekin, Charters Towers, Hinchinbrook, Townsville and other stakeholders to find out what their perception of our great region is.

We started with one simple question...What makes our Townsville Region unique and how can we translate this into a successful brand?

Based on the many conversations we had with people from all over the Region, Townsville - Real Diversity, Real Opportunities was developed.

The Real Story...

The story behind our new brand is pretty straightforward.  We wanted to create a brand that was simple, believable and most importantly real. Sure, we could have created a brand that focused on the tropics or the reef or the outback, but that makes us look and sound like our neighbours and we are not like them - we are different.

The essence of the Townsville Regional Brand is the fact that we are real.  This is reflected through our positive, unpretentious attitude; the scope of genuine experiences available to not only tourists but businesses, travelers and residents

Opportunity is knocking in the Townsville Region and as a community we're embracing it. It is the way we live lift, conduct business and play that makes our Region so special.

Real Character...

Our brand is just like you and me - it has its own quirks, nuances and is full of personality. 

In the Townsville Region we love our community and celebrate our neighbour's successes but also we like to relax as lifestyle is important to us.

Friendly - Mate just isn't a word - it's an attitude and in the Townsville Region we live by it. 

Down to Earth - The people are the heart of the Townsville Region.  We're warm and genuinely welcoming. We don't like to make a fuss - unless you're the Cowboys, the Fire or the Cros.

Vibrant - We are a progressive Region, where every day brings a new adventure, excitement and glorious sunshine.

Relaxed - With an average of 300 sunshine days every year, there is a lot to be relaxed about in this idylic tropical location.
