CEO – David Kippin

Born and raised in Townsville, David Kippin commenced his role as CEO of Townsville Enterprise in September 2011.  He brings with him 34 years experience in Banking, Finance and International Trade, including 8 years experience in senior management and executive positions in Melbourne.

Spending most of his working life in locations such as Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Melbourne and Toowoomba - David said it was his love for this city and its wonderful community and lifestyle that drew him back to Townsville in 2003.

General Manager Economic Development – Ross Contarino

General Manager of Economic Development Ross Contarino is back in Townsville after two and a half years at the helm of Advance Cairns. Mr Contarino has previously held positions as CEO of the North Queensland Economic Development Board, North Queensland Regional Manager of AusIndustry and, most recently, as CEO of Advance Cairns.   He holds an MBA Business from James Cook University.

 

Business Development Manager – Townsville – Raewyn Dooley
Raewyn leads the Convention Bureau and promotion of the Townsville region as a location for conferencing and business events. She liaises closely with local industry in attracting and assisting conference, incentive and event business for the region and ensures these activities meet the needs of members.

Business Development Executive - Rebecca Kent
Rebecca started with TEL in March 2011 to take on the role of Business Development Executive in the Corporate Communications and Membership team. Rebecca has a wealth of experience in relationship management and client and membership engagement through her time at the Cairns Convention Centre and Cairns & Region Convention Bureau.
